Cultivating a more diverse and inclusive workplace is essential for the success of our business. Diversity helps us foster innovation, creativity and increases our agility. Not only are we creating a unique culture within the workplace, we are also influencing other companies to act responsibly and lead with compassion for the greater good of increasing the feeling of belonging in our world.

Diversity of ideas is what builds our organizations up, sustains them and empowers our employees simultaneously.

Inclusión es entender que cada ser es único e inestimable.

Inclusion is about building a culture of community, acceptance, understanding and open-mindedness.

Differences can be a source of strength--how do you engage with this understanding in each of your daily interactions?

A snapshot of our most recent offsite in Hamburg! Oh how I love the opportunity to collaborate with you all in person!

Inclusivity means everyone has a voice and it MATTERS!

I love being able to be my authentic self around my team--cracking jokes, being truthful, being hardworking and awfully serious at times too...whatever it is. Existing at work in these ways allows me to live my life's purpose and give my best everyday.

Inclusion to me means each person in each situation is on a level playing field. Everyone should have the same opportunities and enjoy the same possibilities that others enjoy.

DEI is any policy or practice designed to make people of various backgrounds feel welcome and ensure they have support to perform to the fullest of their abilities in the workplace. Diversity refers to the presence of differences within a given setting; in the workplace, that may mean differences in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age and socioeconomic background. Equity is the act of ensuring that processes and programs are impartial, fair and provide equal possible outcomes for every individual. Inclusion is the practice of making people feel a sense of belonging

Pause after asking a question to get the most bang for your buck! We want our ideas to be good, right? Then isn't it a natural conclusion to draw that we should get feedback/weigh in from diverse perspectives along the way, to mold our idea(s) into stronger versions of themselves? Try this: After you ask a question, PAUSE. Pause and allow time for folks to contribute. Maybe even ask, "Is there anyone who doesn't want to contribute who would be willing to?" Target getting feedback from different people with diverse perspectives, and provide pathways to share for the more quiet folks on your teams. Let's empower one another.

Inclusivity means that we are all treated with respect regardless of our race, ability, gender, sexual orientation and all else. My life is as valuable as my neighbor's life, and vice versa for each person on this earth.

Proud to work for a company that values and celebrates inclusion. Work community PDX Pride Parade in 2020.

Inclusion means being ourselves, embracing and celebrating our differences, understanding, caring, learning from others, being colorful, but above all, means love.

Inclusion to me means being able to be myself at work. It's feeling comfortable being able to give my perspective and ideas in meetings, make jokes with colleagues or share my fears without being worried about being judged. It's being part of an amazing global community of people with different experiences, qualities and factors to their lives that make them unique and our business and community richer as a result.

Belonging is unconditional acceptance, like how I aim to treat myself.

Belonging, allyship, anti-racism. We may feel awkward, our word choice could be improved for next time, we may have to ask for help from someone who has more experience, whatever it is, it probably won't feel totally within your/our/my comfort zone. BUT, the most important thing is that we try to create brave spaces for each of us to exist within at our fullest potential. We stand together, we embrace each other's differences and shared experiences. We listen and we remain dynamic, being willing to integrate our learnings as we grow.

Celebrate each individual, and make it your personal effort to get to know them.

People here have done their best to learn everyone's name and pronounce names properly, which has been really comforting. I feel seen and respected when people pronounce my name how I pronounce my name, and hope that each colleague and friend feels motivated by how we treat one another.

A culture of inclusion is when everyone feels like they belong and is comfortable using their voice. When all individuals are treated this way, the potential in each of us is unlocked. When each of our individual experiences and perspectives is valued collectively, our growth becomes uncapped and limitless, a matter of our own exploration. This type of authentic, caring interaction helps build strong organizations, team and individuals.

Inclusion is feeling part of something bigger than yourself, and taking action that benefits your whole community opposed to just yourself in that given moment.

The ability to share your insight, concerns and ideas to create more thought provoking discussions.

The sessions this week so far have been very insightful - I appreciate the openness and vulnerability of those sharing their stories!

Being inclusive gives us access to knowledge and thoughts that we may never experience ourselves, yet we get to learn from those shared experiences and grow together.

Love working with this team! Be it facing a challenge head on (like this rafting gif) or cake walking on the rare days we're able to, I know that we are making a difference here. Thank you for making these types of questions central to our everyday work. I know that what I'm doing in the office directly correlates with how I behave outside of it.

Our successes are celebrated.

We are encouraged to take new opportunities and are handed off ones that don't come to us directly. We know others are watching out for us, and want us to be succesful, just like we want them to be succesful. We feel empowered to speak up and out, and we are heard when we do. My voice is not like yours, and yours is not like mine. These differences are embraced.
